Trumpeter 1/35 Russian BTR60P Armored Personnel Carrier
The BTR-60 was first produced in the early 1960's and is the first vehicle in a series of Soviet eight-wheeled armored personnel carriers. It was developed in the late 1950s as a replacement for the BTR-152 and was first seen in public in 1961. The "P" variant had an open roofed crew and troop compartment which was deemed to be a serious disadvantage in the battlefield, hence its use was limited and was later replaced by newer and more useful variants. Kit consists of over 450 parts on 18 sprues including hull, rubber tires and photo-etched parts.
