Trumpeter 1/35 CDN Cougar 6x6 Armored Vehicle General Purpose AVGP
Ordered by the Canadian Army in 1977, the Cougar is based on the Piranha I variant of the American LAV. Originally designed with propellers & trim vanes for amphibious use, these have since been removed due to the expense. Intended for use only in Canada, they were pressed into service for several United Nations missions, including UNPROFOR and the mission to Somalia. It has a 3-man crew & is primarily used as a tank trainer and as a fire support vehicle on United Nations missions. Kit consists of over 210 parts and features opening crew doors, treaded rubber tires & photo-etched parts.
