One of the key elements of the Blitzkrieg strategy is mobility. A combined arms force of armor, infantry, and artillery has to be able to strike with lightning-fast speed at precisely the right spot. Traditional horse-drawn artillery just could not keep up with the new fighting vehicles. The German Hummel mounted a heavy 150mm Howitzer on an elongated Panzer IV chassis. This kit of Border's Sd.Kfz. 165 Hummel includes parts for a late SP howitzer as seen after 1943.
