Trumpeter 1/700 RN Roma Italian Navy Battleship 1943
The Roma was the fourth Vittorio Veneto-class battleship of Italy's Royal Navy. The Italian Navy feared their WWI era battleships were not sufficient to counter the approaching German military offensive. An all-new class of battleship was developed. Roma was used to bolster the anti-aircraft defenses of various Italian cities before being sent on various sorties. In this role, she was severely damaged many times, before finally being sunk in 1943, breaking in two and taking 1253 sailors with her. Kit consists of over 440 parts on 13 sprues plus waterline plate, two Ro.43 and three Re.200 aircraft. Completed kit measures over 13 inches long.
