Trumpeter 1/700 USS Maryland BB46 Battleship 1945 (New Variant)
After the Battle of Leyte Gulf, the damaged Maryland sailed to Pearl Harbor for extensive repairs. All of her 5 inch guns were removed and replaced by sixteen 5 inch/38 caliber guns in new twin mounts. Turret No.3 was repaired and the crew quarters were improved. She was subsequently sent back into action in Okinawa, softening up Japanese positions in advance of the ground operation. Kit consists of over 550 parts including waterline plate, three SC-1 planes, photo-etched details, display stand and name plate.
