Trumpeter 1/700 USS Tennessee BB43 Battleship 1944 (New Tool)
The lead ship of her class of battleship, the USS Tennessee was damaged during the 1941 attacks on Pearl Harbor, but was repaired and modernized shortly thereafter and was used in numerous locations throughout 1944, including the Marshall and Mariana Islands and Bismarck Achipelago. The Tennessee’s turret guns could be elevated up to 30 degrees, more than double of ships prior to her. Her heavy guns could also be fired up to 10,000 yards further than previous ships, and proved useful during conflict because of her ability to “shoot over the horizon. Kit consists of over 660 parts on 27 sprues, along with photo-etched detail parts.
